| God of War III too violent for the Internet |
Developers at SCE Studios Santa Monica just stated that some sequences seen in God of War III "are so violent, they are never going on the Internet -- at least, not by us."![]() PCN snagged the details out of the latest Official PlayStation Magazine, which intricately details the game's new 'Zipper Technology.' Essentially, enemies have multiple layers of skin and flesh that Kratos' attacks realistically slice through, opening up gaping wounds which exude blood, guts, and other innards. The developers concluded that "[the scenes] are just not appropriate for some audiences." This begs the question: is the abundant carnage really necessary? Does it add anything to the narrative or atmosphere, or is it simply there for shock value? Voice your opinion in the comment section below.
